Bitcoin Atom - Trading Digital Assets

We believe that most cryptocurrency trades should be done on a chain in a decentralized way, in accordance with the original Bitcoin approach to transact in a totally unlimited environment.

Bitcoin Atom (BCA) brings a truly decentralized way to exchange digital assets - a chain-swapped atom on board. By using its built-in hash time-locked contract (HTLCs) and its own HTLC API, Bitcoin Atom tries to interfere with the way we exchange current cryptocurrencies, providing freedom from intermediaries and centralized entities.

Atomic Swaps (AS), which is currently implemented through an on-chain HTLC chain and potentially off-chain Lightning Network (LN), brings the ability to exchange assets directly between blockchains without the intermediaries involved. This capability is called the cross-linking of atoms, and we propose Bitcoin Atom support for it at its core, by bringing the US API and a set of cross-trade utilities to the original Bitcoin core software and shipping it to BCA.

The BCA network is also secured by utilizing the so-called hybrid consensus: PoW and PoS models are installed, increasing network stability and reducing the miner's strength, thus lowering probability 51%. Despite having a Proof of Stake other than Proof of Work, Bitcoin Atom is not an inflanioter in emissions because PoS only serves to decentralize network strength. Max BCA supply remains the same as the original Bitcoin (21M).

The US model Bitcoin Atom is expected to bring transparency to digital asset trading, as efforts to increase volume through the exchange of chain atoms will be detected by passive observations. This means that the user can not appear with a small number of coins and then make a ton to capture the volume in disguise.

Bitcoin Atom will create a Bitcoin network snapshot, and based on this data, lends Bitcoin Atom to everyone who at that time has Bitcoin at that address. IMPLEMENTATION

Bitcoin Atom is a fork of blockchain Bitcoin with a major protocol upgrade that will occur in January (block number TBA).
